I love Palms Out Sounds. I love how Haldan lays out the emails and highlights stuff with different colors, I love all the amazing artists on the label and I love that they love Music For Dreams. There’s a lot of info in this post, so work your way through at your own leisure if you’re into MFD/ POS releases.
First off is Bliss featuring Boy George on their new boner-jam called “American Heart”. This track is by no means a banger, but it’s by all means a jam that will give one a boner. George’s voice seems to float perfectly over Bliss’s guitar-driven Ibiza chill anthem and seems quite appropriate as his official return to the microphone. Do yourself a favor and hit up Bliss’s Myspace for more.
Next up is Boom Clap Bachelors with a pair of remixes by SuperTroels (lead singer of Veto) and Tuff City Kids. I’m not sure what the original sounds like, but SuperTroels turned “Fylde Dig Meg Regn” into a beautiful piece of music. Damn! Tuff City Kids pushed things a little more up-beat with their rendition of “Love” but still managed to stay in the same low-key vein as SuperTroels. Definitely feeling the BCB Tracks.
Fagget Fairys are really no stranger to the blog world, as they are under one of the largest blog umbrellas around; Palms Out Sounds. “Feed The Horse” is the title track off of their Feed The Horse EP which is also posing as a promo tool for the March 30th release of the Feed The Horse LP. I’m always in the mood for a good Dub mix and this Club Dub is really hitting the spot right now, even in my state of over-tiredness at 3Am. I can’t say I’m too familiar with the next band, but God damn am I glad I’ve been introduced to them.
Hess Is More is Bang Chau, Charlotte Munck, Nikolaj Hess, Jenno, Mikkel Hess & Bjørn + a changing selection of special guests: Sylvia Gordon, Mum, Dad, Vif, Gytz, Emil Hess, Kristoffer Sjelberg, Christine Pryn, Dean Bowman, Eduarda Fadini, Michal Cohen, Niels Vincentz, Henrik Sundh, Jeppe Saugmann, Niclas Knudsen, AC, Bo Rande, Nikolaj Torp… They’re a live band. They are amazing.
Lastly is Kenneth Bager being remixed by one of my favorite tech-house artists; Style of Eye. SoE puts his usual glitchy-techy-intricate spin on “Fragment One” so if you’re familiar with his catalogue then you’ll definitely be into this. I remember when I first heard Style’s “The Prophet” in some random YouTube video and waiting several months for it to come out, if you’re unfamiliar with that track, do yourself a favor and familiarize yourself here.
… Denmark came to party. Do not sleep on Music For Dreams in 2k9… Just sayin’.

I think going.com (http://newyork.going.com/index.php) has a bunch of good stuff. Chicago’s going.com page is usually up to date with decent events, but it doesn’t always reflect the monthly/ weekly events.
Going.com or NYC blogs should be able to help you out.
