I just got a pretty terrifying email about blogging. As it turns out, the lovely country of New Zealand has officially been banned from music blogging. This is terrifying because I didn’t think this shit could happen. Like, really? You’re (officials) going to ban music blogging? You don’t have any BIGGER problems like your growing crime rate or your failing education unions? What about your prisoners escaping from paddy wagons?
Haha. Ridiculous.
I feel sorry for any music blogger who happens to live in NZ. If you feel the same way then you should sign this petition against Guilt Upon Accusation to help fight this ridiculous law. Thanks to Mark T. on the heads up on this, good work gettin’ the word out!

This is utterly ridiculous.
I live in NZ and am pretty sure this is part of the same law that would make ISPs able to terminate the connection of anyone downloading ANY torrents, whether or not they’re pirated material (on the basis that most torrents are…)
Little Pictures are great – their entire album is very sweet, and they played a great set when they opened for Ratatat last year!
