I remember when I used to get down to both of these tunes back in the day. Sisqo’s “Thong Song” was the hottest Summer track in 2000 and Fabolous’s “Young’n” was often the background music to my friend and I’s Saturday night street racing rituals (we raced a Ford Probe… We sucked). Alex Rage just brought both of those memories back to life with these revamped electro fixes.
Fabolous – Young’n (Holla Back) (Alex Rage’s Uptempo – Flat Intro)
Sisqo – Thong Song (Alex Rage Remix)

why the out dated pop song remixes?

He said they were edits he made to get the crowd going at Crobar… It makes sense.

because these are still jams for most crowds…these remixes are meant to make these “outdated pop songs” playable in modern contexts with modern hits. as a dj, you gotta have some surprises for the crowd…because honestly, who want’s to hear 4 different remixes of love lockdown all night?

you’ve gotta have some curveballs ready for the crowd. the fact is that people love to hear that old-ass-song-i-havent-heard-since-2002 play between crookers and foamo.
ps. fuck love lockdown. and its remixes.

college dropout, late registration, graduation (and hopefully good ass job) are/will be incredible. it’s just solid hip-hop (forgetting the fact that he’s got ghostwriters). but you can’t say that 808s is anything like it. he went from get em high with talib and common to heartless. that shit isn’t even on the same planet.

he is trying something different, david bowie did an almost similar route

lulz, i didn’t mean to start a hate on kanye/love kanye thread…i just used love lockdown as an example of a track that’s been remixed by 20,000+ people on the net. standing up for the heat that is sisqo and f-a-b-o-l-o-u-s. before djing was all about which blog you download from, or what color your headphones are, people were into variety, ya know? just saying.
thx to everyone who likes it, and esp thx to kyle for putting it up!

You kidding me? I love blogger interaction and/ or blog fights.

Kanye sucks. That being said, I understand the need for flashback tunes in a DJ set, but Thong Song?! That was never cool, and if you think it was, there’s something wrong with YOU!
