Seriously though, my cat is going nuts in my apt. right now and Thing One might be the reason. I got this jam called “Move It” on and it just feels right. Thing One seems like a more melodic, less punky The Rapture and I think I’m adding them to my “approved bands” list. In 2009, I’d love to find a way to mix this into a set somehow, I think that would be pretty righteous.
If you’re feelin’ “Move It” like I am, you might want to head over to iTunes and pick up their You’ll Be Fine album. If you don’t feel like forking up the $6.93, at least check out “Through The Winter”, it’s… Incredible.

I really, really like this.
Fitting it in a set wouldn’t be too problematic. It’s a bit speedy for the stuff I play, but editing/looping the beat at the start and the handclaps at the end, you’d have plenty of room for a tempo change.
Admittedly, it might stick out a little in the middle of a set of ELECTRO BANGERS, but so what?
