Just some chill French tunes for a chill non-French blog. I feel like Popular Computer, and artists like them, will do some serious work in 2009, as 2008 was truly the year of the remix. While all of the big guns were out touring and not making albums, the undergrounders were coming out the wood works and making waves in the blog-o-sphere. I don’t mean to offend anyone here, but Popular Computers are not one of the “big guys”.
I’m glad they’re not one of the big guys (yet) because otherwise I wouldn’t have heard their new Senso Data album. Their single off of the album, “4 Darling”, has a Little Boots/ Ladyhawke/ Pnau kind of vibe to it; a little dark and very melodic. At random breakdowns of “Darling” I find myself saying “Fake… Blo-od”, if you’ve heard the Fake Blood remix of “Stuck on Repeat” you’ll know what I’m talking about. In any case, I’m hoping to hear some more good stuff from PC in 2009, hopefully Rise Recordings can hook it up with some remixes (Breakbot please!).

The track is not called ‘4 Darling’, but just ‘Darling’ – and the name of the artist is not ‘Popular Computers’ but ‘Popular Computer’
