Hey, guys. So I hope everyone is having a good time on the long weekend. I have been given some days off from the hellhole known as school, so I’ve decided to use what could be endless hours of eating, video-chatting and watching movies and turn it into… all that, PLUS some blogging for Hot Bizzies (sounds like a busy weekend, right?). Also, because I am the only Kanye fan (as many of you know, I switch from a fan of Kans to a hater every 5 seconds) who writes for this blog, I decided to do some investigation re: some claims Ye has been making lately.
As many of you know, Kanye has been hyping up a new artist from his G.O.O.D. music label, Mr. Hudson, who was featured on the song “Paranoid” off the 808s & Heartbreaks album. Kanye has most recently been quoted as saying, ”I believe Mr. Hudson has the potential to be bigger than me, to be one of the most important artists of his generation…” (via MTV NEWS). Now, after a solid hour of searching for music from this Mr. Hudson character, I have found the following: A Sinden remix, and a vocoderized track called “There Will Be Tears”. Now, I know everyone is on this whole anti-vocoder trip, but I’d like you all to give this dude a chance and present your opinions (as I will keep mine to myself for now) via the marvelous comment box. Have a great weekend, y’all!

I’m feelin’ the remix, but “There Will Be Tears” gets really annoying. I was looking for assets to use to make the post art and every one of his sites has that song playing…

One of the better Count and Sinden remixes I have heard of late… as for the original track ill say I am not a huge fan of the vocals but the productions seems nice. Would like to hear more people remixing this artist in the future that is for sure.

If you look for “Mr hudson and the library” on YouTUBE you’ll get all sorts of his stuff. It’s kinda got an eclectic mix of sounds but it works for all that. I thikn Dizzee Rascal is in the TOO LATE TOO LATE video, I agree with Kanye, they’re gonna be huge. I’m not a fan of the vocoder effect but their first album doesn’t use it and it sounds different from all the other indy stuff that comes outta the UK.

I can’t say I’m feeling either. Given the direction of his music, an awful new cd and an ego rivaling Bono, Ye is falling off fast and it looks to me like he’s grabbing for straws with Hudson. I could be wrong, but I can’t imagine Hudson just developing a sound worth talking about overnight.

Mr. Hudson would be the ‘next big thing’ if Kanye’s CD actually made a blip on the musical map, but it hasn’t. Until I go tone deaf and actually find Kanye, T-Pain, and their music appealing, Hudson’s far from the wave of the future.

Decent… but that’s about it. I don’t see the whole next big thing thing. Its just a PR move to get you to buy the album.
