(Les Petits Pilous – Wake Up)
I’ve gotta say, I’m really glad I lived in France for three years of my life, but I’m bummed that I missed out on the musical renaissance that’s happening right now. With big names like Justice, Daft Punk, Mr. Oizo, SebastiAn taking over the world, France couldn’t be hotter! That being said, I wanted to hit you guys up with another great French group: Les Petits Pilous. Some of you may have heard of them after Aoki dropped “Wake Up” in his Essential Mix, and ever since then they’ve been picking up momentum.
In their newest EP, Wake Up, they combine hastily spliced vocals with some of the heaviest, dirtiest drops I’ve ever heard. Check out “E Lec Tronic”, a single off of their fittingly titled first EP, Hello We Are, as well as a video for their newest single, “Wake Up.” Seeing as that will most likely leave you wanting more, head over to Beatport to snag as many Les Petits Pilous releases as your wallet can handle.
