Ok, so we have a fair amount of music pass through Hot Biscuits via our inbox filled with burning- hot jams galore. Sometimes, things go in one ear and out the other (literally), but other times, stuff really sticks. Case in point: Late of the Pier. I like to think I’m pretty well aware of what’s going in music and current pop culture, but alas, I’m not perfect, and these guys slipped right under my radar despite the fact that they were on the cover of NME back in September.
Anyways, if any band could be called “New Rave”, this is the one. Their music is one giant pot of techno, electro, punk, and rock, mixed together messily, with possibly a little bit of crack thrown in for extra flavor. These guys are great because they don’t stay on a certain genre or sub-genre, which ironically creates a pretty distinct sound. They go all over the place, and trying to catch up with them is half the joy of listening.

You’re right. Hm. I could of sworn I saw both of those tracks on there… Oh well, sorry man, I’m not posting “infringing” tunes anymore.
If this blog gets shut down, it will be the equivalent to a father losing his first born.
