B.I.G. is one versatile dead rapper. From beyond the grave, Biggie seems to pop up everywhere. He is still one of, if not the biggest staple in the hip-hop community next to hip-hop. A movie has been made about his life and is being released sometime next year. He’s even a staple in the hipster crowd, being involved in a handful of Ratatat songs. He has a high-energy aggressiveness and angry fearlessness which can resonate in any genre, which is why I think he is so heavily pursued to this day by electro-remixers and hip-hop producers alike.
Here we have yet another testament to Biggie’s longevity. A great electro, fist-pumping remix from Junk SOLO, a New Wave duo straight out Chi-City. This jam just makes you want to dance…and break something, all at the same time. Biggie would be proud.
