Hey folks, sorry about the missed “Black Holes Tuesday” post, we’re doing this one Palms Out style this week, haha. Black Holes were taking an extra minute to put some finishing touches on their new mix, so don’t hate! The mix is a nice little journey through the minds of Mike and Harry, aka Black Holes. Future Shock is heavily influenced by childhood tracks as well as current favorites and is basically broken down into three parts: electro, minimal/ techno and hip-hop. In other words, Future Shock is eclectic.
Here’s what the guys had to say about Future Shock:
“We created a mix that we would listen to in our free time and it’s what you would expect from our live show. We’re trying to showcase our tracks along with the tracks that influence us.
The title is in reference to the 1970’s book Future Shock which talks about how with the rapid advance of technology creates a “too much too soon” type thing that affects how we handle everyday situations. An information overload of sorts.”
In my opinion, Future Shock is a really solid piece of work, it touches on all of the genres I love and is also quite enjoyable; aka mission accomplished!

This is some hot shit.
(And I secretly think that ending with the Joubert Singers track is their way of pandering to me, a practice I highly encourage.)
