It took me a while for The Raveonettes‘ Lust, Lust, Lust album to grow on me, as it was extremely monotonous. The vocals and overall vibe of the album were a kind of gloomy thing that for some reason reminded me of what I thought the 60’s might have been like, weird, I know. It made me think of old-school war protests and Woodstock and what not.
Well, these remixes maintain as weird of vibe as the original album, but it’s a gloominess for the new age. Haha, am I losing you? Sorry. As for the remixes themselves, in any other situation I’d take Trentemøller in a remix battle, but 80KIDZ remix of “Dead Sound” is just hitting a nerve.
