Weeeellll, I’m pretty pumped to see Ellen Allien and Modeselektor in Chicago next week. I’ve been into Ellen for a number of years now and just recently started vibing Modeselektor. XLR8R just turned out this mix of theirs and I think its a great precursor to their show next week. Oh and also, it’s at Sonotheque! My effing favorite!
It would be an extremely terrible move for you to miss this show, don’t believe me? Check out the mix and with a straight face, tell me you don’t want to see them… I eagerly await your rebuttal.

I don’t think I’ve ever done a DJ set without a MDSLKTR track in it (usually 2000007 but they’re one of the few artists I’ll use more than one track by in a single set).
Allien is also a delight, both as a producer and a DJ.
The XLR8R mix is good, but a little different than their Boogy Bytes or some of the other mixes/mixtapes I’ve got. Less hip-hop-ish, more techno+dubstep.
So pumped for this show.
