Well, I don’t know if you’ve heard or not, but Bloc Party are digitally dropping their Intimacy LP tomorrow (Thursday, August 21). I don’t know about you, but I’m not really expecting much from this album, as the new singles haven’t been that impressive. “Flux” was a pretty good track and it remixed really well too, but I’m not feeling “Mercury.”
In my opinion, Silent Alarm was easily their best album and A Weekend In The City had its moments too, but I don’t know… Their new direction just doesn’t hit as hard as their old stuff did, it feels too techy and glitchy where as their old sound felt solid and powerful. I’ll end up buying the album either way though, just to have it, hopefully it has some nice surprises for me.

Yeah, I’m definitely feeling this CD. It’s completely different from their older stuff, but most of it is pretty good. Their singles didn’t do it justice at all. PICK IT UP HERE.

Anyway, I’ve never really gotten into Bloc Party, I know they’re good and I like their music but I’ve never followed it, but I always carry a few remixes, because the punters love it. Cheers for the track.

that whole album is solid. like eating glass was the biggest grower for me out of the whole release. all-in-all i’d venture as far to say that silent alarm was the best rock album to come out in the past decade. yeah i said it, fggt, whatchu gonna do about it?
oh, and james jameson can lick the underside of my nutsack. what a QWR.
