As you know, I’m a huge supporter of Cut Copy, but after to listening to their new CD for the past 6 months I felt that it was time to change it up. So I back-tracked to their old Bright Light Neon Love CD, which is equally as good but just a tad slower than In Ghost Colours. Anyways, I got some stuff from these cats over in Melbourne, they go by the name of The Emergency, and they came to play.

The reason I brought up the old CC CD was because The Emergency’s Forever/ Too Much 12″ kind of reminds me of it. Milo + Morgan (The Emergency) have a slower, more melodic feel to their tunes, quite relaxing if I do say. As much as I appreciate the slower paced tracks, my favorite of their original mixes has to be “Vanishing Prize”; very Cut Copy-esque. Overall, I’m really feeling Shazam’s mix of “Too Much”, give these couple tracks a listen; compare, contrast, comp-trast.
