This post is coming from a couple different thoughts; a readers comment, a new song, a new artist, and some old time favorites. First of all, I recently posted Asher Roth’s remix of “A Milli” and a reader commented saying anyone who loved rap could appreciate Lil’ Wayne’s flow… I’m sorry but I just don’t see it, props to Wayne for doing his thing and being mad successful though, gotta respect that. I don’t much care for him now, but he was cool during “Back That Azz Up”, that song was amazing back in ‘98.
Secondly, I’ve been rocking the shit out of A-Trak’s new joint; “Me and My Sneakers”. It’s a little different than the version in his Running Man Mix in that, instead of Cudi on the track, it’s Lupe Fiasco; both respectable lyricists if you ask me.
Thirdly, I got hit with some AZ style rhymes from a dude by the name of Tally P. Tally P is legit, that’s all there is to it.
Last but not least, all this rap shit got me thinking of two of my favorite hip-hop songs of all time, featuring some of the best lyricists of our time; Nas, Kanye, Pharrell, and Lupe… Lights. Out.
A-Trak + Lupe Fiasco – Me and My Sneakers
Child Rebel Soldiers – US Placers
Nas – Still Dreaming
Tally P – What You Thought

You know, I thought it was Cudi, but I wasn’t positive. Thanks!
