Heads up, I got some mad good EP action coming your way. I’m going to start off with some summer time beats then work my way into some “chill mode” stuff; keep an open mind with these.

Prismatic Tracks and Monsta hit me up with some of their new summer joints, both The Nose Candies and DJ2 have releases this summer. I’ve listened to both albums several times over and have decided that these are perfect tunes for the warm summer weather.

DJ2 consists of Oakland’s George Cochrane and Delaney Parker, together they produce some of the best feel-good music I’ve heard since I heard the Ting Ting’s earlier this year. The Nose Candies feel a little more in-your-face with their beats, they’re a little more aggressive. Not something you could play at a pool party, but something to gear you up for the night.

DJ2 and The Nose Candies’ EP’s are available for purchase here.

DJ2 – Continuum
DJ2 – Workitout
The Nose Candies – Gears (Original Mix)

Next up is some goodness I got from Bikini, I posted some of his stuff a while ago when he handed me a single, but an EP deserves re-up. This is really the perfect CD to chill with, if you’re in a just “whatever” kind of mood, put this sucker on repeat, it’ll help you on your journey to no-where.

“Sex” and “Tonight” are my favorite tracks on the album, no reason, they just are.

Most Indie-Electro needs an open mind to be taken seriously, so I suggest you give Little Pictures a fair chance. Another group with a great feel to their low key, analogue style stuff. It’s good to take a break from the banging electro every once in a while, and artists like Little Pictures and Bikini help me change my pitch up. Plus I love it when folks from around the world submit music, these cats are from New Zealand, how cool is that?

Also, take a look at their video for “This House Can Fit Us All”, it’s a really fun video and a nice compliment to the song. Love’m both! Pick up their album here.
