Happy Birthday Biscuits!!!

Seeing as it’s the one year birthday of Hot Biscuits, I decided I’m going to unload some stuff. Along with a heap of new music, I wanted to inform you of new things to look out for on here. I’m most excited for the launch of the Hot Biscuits sister site, Hot Pixcuits, its not done yet, but get a preview here. Hot Pixcuits is a joint effort photography site for events/ underground parties in Chicago, it will be amazing.

Also, you may have noticed some new links on the site, for example, “Design Posse”. This denotes some designers that I vouch for, they got skills, check’m out. I want to start incorporating more art and design into the posts, having said that, I’m going to ask a designer to submit a new blog header every month, if you got one for me, hook it up here. Along with the monthly header change, I’m going to be doing a new thing called “Mini Mix Monday”, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Oh, and keep an eye out for Hot Biscuits hosted events in Chicago, they’re coming… And now, the beats!

Alright, I’m going to try and ease you from the softer stuff to the harder stuff, so I’ll start off with some fresh Lismore tracks. Lismore gave a couple of their tracks to B.Rich and AC Slater, two of my favorite, and let them have their way with them. If you take a minute to compare their cover of Captain Sensible’s track and the other remixes, you can see how soft Lismore is, and I mean that in a good way.

Next up is some edgier stuff by a crew that doesn’t need any introduction, they go by the name of Yo! Majesty. In case you didn’t know, they have a new EP coming out on July 27th on Domino Records. As you know, I’m not the biggest advocate of rap, but Yo! Majesty is something special.

Last, but certainly not least, is another banger from Tenzin, the incredibly talented DJ/ producer from Australia. 50 Cent’s “In Da Club” was one of those songs in High-school that will be remembered as one of the best underage club bangers ever (haha). So why not give it a grown-up revamp? In all seriousness, this remix is so effing money, you don’t even know it… (Swingers).
