I don’t know if you realize it or not, but the world is a pretty big place with lots and lots of things going on. Music is one of those things. This is the second of the “Around The World” things, in the last post I hit Chile, Portugal and the United States of America, bitch. This time I got some good stuff from Australia, Denmark, India and Switzerland.

Things I know about Tricky:
1. He is not from Australia (thanks peeps)
2. He is from Bristol
3. He was a former member of Massive Attack
4. He is also known as “Tricky Kid” and/or Adrian Thaws
5. Wikipedia doesn’t lie
Tricky – Council Estate (Outlaws VIP Moster MIx)

Does Trentemøller really need any introduction? No, because he is a legend, but either way I’m going to tell you how I came across this find. I was getting my Beatport on and saw that he had a live EP out, I was excited. I proceeded to buy said CD and then proceeded to have it on repeat while I busted out some code on a new Hot Biscuits sister site (coming soon). After I was done I realized that I had cycled through the 4 track album 10 times. Proof is here. I would strongly reccommend picking this up.
Trentemøller – Into The Trees

I got this one straight out of The Darjeeling Limited, I think it comes up in the scene where they are in the marketplace and that one dude is buying a cobra or something. I usually hate Indian music, but for some reason this Shankar Jaikishan track has a really catchy ring to it. It’s kind of obscure and not really in the context of “dance music” but I thought it was worth posting.

I got hit up on my beeper (Myspace) with some freshness via Switzerland. Division Kent are pretty good, they got some pretty chill original tracks, but they also get remixed really well. Their track “L’Heure Bleue” reminds me of the movie Scarface, but I think that vibe has a lot to do with Keenhouse’s remix. I’d also like to add that I don’t understand a single word of this song, but its sexy as hell.
