For the most part, I haven’t really been impressed with female DJ’s in the past, but as you know theres a first for everything. Dani Deahl is a female DJ who happens to be good… Real good! I came across Dani via a recommendation from redthreat, and I’m glad he hooked it up because her work is straight fire.
It’s kind of funny how it all went down actually, he directed me to her Myspace page and after that I was hooked. Seeing as I was at work, I just put her first track on and then minimized the browser, when the last song stopped I was like, “Wtf is wrong with my iTunes?!” I had forgotten that it was her Myspace that was keeping me going.
If thats not a strong enough conviction as to how skilled she is, then maybe you should check her out for yourself at URB, Kissatlanta, Crobar, MOCT, Missingtoof, D-Squared, etc… Seeing a pattern here? Yep, she’s pretty big. Her immense attention to detail and ear for the perfect tracks has truly bumped her and female DJ’s in general, up a few notches in my book. Get lost in her new Summer 2008 mix and after that dig into her spankin’ new track!
