Hot Biscuits

Really?

Seeing as some asshole stole my Aoki Pro Signature headphones after my set this weekend, I decided to pick up a pair of the WESC Bag Pipe Pro headphones. So, to whoever stole those, um… If I ever catch you trying to steal from me or my people again I will break your arm on the spot, thats a promise.

Also, I just wanted to say that looking at Hype Machine is getting really depressing. Has it really been that rough on blogs where kids have to post non-stop Death Cab For Cutie songs that have been posted 900 times before? Is new music so scarce that we have to resort to posting the free Coldplay album 900 times?

I don’t think so. Contrary to popular belief, there are a lot of new and/or different things happening in music as of late, here are a few of them.

Diamonds is amazing. Plain and simple. I posted a bunch of his stuff a while ago but I wanted to revisit one of them; “Yuah Turks”. Through-out the last couple weeks I’ve been dropping “The Margherita Hustle” and “Enjoy The Money” at parties, and kids have been eating it up.

So given the fact that this is an older mash-up, I’m going to put this in the “different things” category of this post… At least its not Death Cab.

I’ve heard some pretty solid stuff coming out of Adrian Recordings this year and Printer is one of them. Adrian blew up my mailbox earlier this week with some new Printer originals and remixes. I was only able to download the original track, which is all good because its pretty solid.

My favorite of the bunch is up for purchase here; its the Andreas Tilliander Remix of “Night Club” and boy is it fancy!

I always love repping the local flavor of Chicago, and Alex Rage is just that. In fact, I think he’s a little more than a flavor, he’s a staple. With residencies at Crobar, Level, Stone Lotus, Goodbar, and Plan B I think you get the idea of what kind of music he spins.

In my opinion, the original “Pjanoo” by Eric Prydz is really weak, so I’m glad Alex spruced it up with some Chicago electro.

LAYD. I got some stuff from these Australian indie-dance kids last year sometime and needless to say, I was very pleased to hear from them again. Their new track, “C-C-C Crossfire!”, is amazing to say the least. It reminds me of a blend of The Rapture, The Go! Team and Will Ferrell (you’ll soon know why).

Give these guys/ girls an honest listen and thank me later.

Lions At Your Door – C-C-C Crossfire!

Enjoy the music and get off the Hype Machine popular list.
