(In order: A-Trak as The Terminator and Sinden, Atrak Aoki Cudi, The Crowd)

What the hell is wrong with you people? How is it that the Metro doesn’t sell out when Fools Gold/ Dim Mak come to town? Now that we’ve established my general feeling of the turnout, lets move on…

To start things off, Sammy Bananas was on the decks and he got kind of a mixed reaction. It seemed like he had a set list mapped out and wouldn’t veer away from it, because all he played was old school/ 90’s jock jams type songs and the crowd wasn’t really into it. Not after Sammy was Sinden, and he got the party started proper. (Sinden came on after Cudi, but I screwed this up, so its out of order. Sorry.) He threw down some chunky electro tunes and basically gave the crowd what they needed after about an hour of lameness. I’m really not sure how Sammy made it on tour with those guys, no offense, but he just wasn’t on their level.

The next guy to come out was the surprise of the night for me, Kid Cudi. This guy straight up killed it! I’m not into hip-hop at all, but damn, this guy’s beats and lyrics and over all energy were most enjoyable. He just seemed like a real dude, and who cant relate to that? When I got home from the show I went online to see if I could pick up his album, but all he’s got released is the “Day ‘n’ Night EP“.

Like Cudi, the rest of the night solid, Atrak, Aoki and surprise guest Flosstradamus all killed it just the same. Kid Color and Greg Corner (I think) of Dark Wave Disco made it out, which was cool. Anyways, the headliners sets were all what you’d expect, Atrak was amazing as usual, Aoki was the best of all the times I’ve seen him and Floss threw down an interesting set for us remaining fans after a majority of the crowd had left.

If you made it out, then you saw an awesome show, if you didn’t… Well… Then theres not much hope for you.

The Black Ghosts – I Want Nothing (Sinden Remix)
Chromeo – Tenderoni 7.20 (Sammy Bananas Pump This Party Mix)
Kanye West – Stronger (A-Trak Remix)
Kid Cudi – Love Stoned (Freestyle)
Steve Aoki + Junkie XL – 1967 Poem

At least you missed Catchdubs opener, it was 100x more boring than Sammy’s. I had fun (you can see a little of me in the “crowd” pic) but it took way too long to get going. I definitely would liked to see more of the “Big Three”, I mean Trizzy didn’t even bust out any battle routines.

I knooowwwww, I was waiting for that Timberlake closer too. We got there at like 10 and it was still Sammy, I thought 10 would have been like prime time especially because it started at 8.

The tour didn’t sell out here in SF and I don’t know why either. I was all anticipate-y! Oh well, those of us that were there tore it up… eventually. Although it took way way WAY to long to get going, I agree.

i think you have the order wrong…catchdubs opened, and bored me to death, and he didn’t even realize that one of the turntables wasn’t feeding to the right side, so every time he’d blend to that deck, half the room went silent…i thought sammy’s set was FIRE, and kid cudi went on AFTER sammy, then sinden…
