And Justice For 2008

(HARD NYE, Los Angeles)

The whole reason I flew out to HARD NYE was to see Justice, all the other artists were just a bonus for me. After seeing them in Chicago back in October I was like “I need to see them again” so I checked their MySpace for their tour dates and let me point out that this is one of the only good things about MySpace. Anyway, they were set up to do a dj set as opposed to their regular set, which gave them a little more freedom as what they “could” play.

A “live dj set” implies that they wont be playing just their own music, so if you go to an event expecting to hear all Justice songs and you see “live dj set” next to their name, you should probably think twice about it. Either way their set was amazing. They brought out some old school tracks that just straight up won the crowd over, tracks like “Jump Around”, “Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)”, and “Short Dick Man”. “Short Dick Man” in particular caught my ear. Justice sped up the beat or added something because it sounded so fresh as hell.

Check the video (above) if you don’t believe me.
