This new Burial album is making its way up my top albums this year, and that’s saying a lot with how great ‘07 has been. The album literally feels like a high, as the dub rhythms and prying, ethereal vocals search into those hidden places of your mind. It’s an experience, and that’s what makes it engaging.
This is a remix of “Archangel” by Boy 8-Bit, who very subtly speeds the track up and actually makes it work. The song isn’t changed around too much, but you’ll find yourself tapping your feet to it. Could we actually see people dancing to Burial someday?
